About PCT
Since 1987, Protective Coating Technologies LLC has been working with municipalities and water districts throughout the Midwest and Northeast, primarily helping rebuild and restore manholes.  Over the years, PCT has developed extensive knowledge and expertise in the restoration and rehabilitation of underground structures and the application of polyurethane and polyurea coatings.  With the latest coating technology and a talent crew of professionals, PCT is pleased to quote on your specific project.
Due to age, freeze/thaw cycles and underground water pressure, the walls of manholes are one of the weak links in America’s infrastructure.  Often they are deteriorating, leaking water and in danger of total collapse. That’s why knowledgeable city administrators are pleased to know about PCT.

Contemporary restoration methods continue to involve significant prep work. This may require eliminating sources of water by drilling and sealing holes, pressure blasting of the surface to remove all loose foreign materials, grease and grime, and sealing of surface gap areas by hand. The process involves steps of preparation that follow the NACE No.6/ SSPC-SP13 guidelines. All this must be accomplished prior to application of a thick primer coat.  Finally, PCT applies the 100% polyurea coating to a consistent thickness using the 360º robotic application device, eliminating the hazard of a downhole spray operator.
